JEWLERY WITH A STORY
Welcome to Südamekunst!
A quiet corner of the world where old stories find new life, where forgotten things are made whole again, and where jewelry isn’t just something you wear… it’s something you feel.
My name is Kersti, and this is more than just a craft for me — it’s a way of preserving what matters most.
Each piece I make is rooted in patience, meaning, and deep care. Some are filled with nature — flowers I’ve picked and pressed during Estonian summers. Others carry pieces of time — vintage clock gears and watch parts that once ticked through someone’s life.
And some hold the most fragile thing of all- memory.
MEMORY JEWLERY
I believe jewelry can be a keeper of love.
That the things we carry close to our hearts can actually hold our hearts — especially when we’ve lost someone dear.
This is why I create memory jewelry — pieces made using the ashes of a loved one, whether human or pet. With your trust, I take just a small amount of those ashes and preserve them safely inside resin, often surrounded by natural elements or soft textures that reflect beauty, not grief.
These pieces are not about saying goodbye.
They’re about saying: “You are still with me.”
On good days and hard ones.
Through every season of life.
Not tucked away on a shelf — but worn, held, cherished.
WHAT I USE MATTERS TO ME
I choose reused, repurposed elements whenever I can — vintage metal, salvaged timepieces, natural flowers. Even the epoxy I work with is selected with care, keeping sustainability in mind. I want what I make to be kind — to the Earth, to you, and to the memories you carry.
The clock parts you’ll often see in my designs aren’t just aesthetic. They represent movement, cooperation, and balance — reminders that life is always turning, always evolving, even when we feel stuck.
Each gear has its place. Each moment has its meaning.
WHY DO I DO THIS?
Because I believe we all deserve to hold something real.
Something that reminds us of who we love, where we’ve been, and what we still carry.
Something made not in a factory, but with two hands — with soul.
Thank you for being here.
If something in my work speaks to your heart, I’d be honoured to create something just for you — a piece of love, of memory, of meaning… that’s yours to keep forever.
